Hi, I am Chris.

For more than 25 years I have helped educators and public employees better understand their pensions, retirement accounts, insurance, and overall financial picture. My team and I work inside schools across the country, and many of my team members are former educators themselves.

I built this report card so you can see where you stand before anyone asks you to make a decision.

Is there a cost for this?No. The Teacher Retirement Report Card is free and completely voluntary. It's part of our mission to educate the educators.

Is this a sales pitch?It is an education tool. You get your grades whether or not you ever speak with us. If a grade raises a question you want help with, we are here, and that is your call.

Why do you need my name, email and phone?So we can send you your report card. We do not sell or share your information. Use a personal email, district email often blocks us.

Does this work for my state's system?Yes. The questions are about how well you understand and have planned around your pension, not the specific formula. We work with educators in state systems across the country.

Do I need my pension statement or account balances?No. There are no account numbers, balances, or Social Security numbers. Just questions you can answer from memory.

Who made this, and how do you get paid?Chris Reid and his team built it. Over the past 25 years, we've helped more than 250,000 teachers nationwide understand their pensions, their retirement plans and their options — and the report card is one more way to do that.
